yea u can, but i dont think its good to. i did it cuz someone told me i can, but u gotta try gettin that bolt off next to where the axles go in. its a 17mm. if u do it through the back up light switch u wont know if u filled the tranny up all the way. so thats why u dont wanna fill it up there.

You can get it off. Mine was hard to get off too. I put the 17mm wrench on there and let a 4lb. hammer do the rest.

I almost destroyed mine taking it off, but it finally came. I put it back in loosely (comparatively speaking) while I order a new one from Honda (about $3.50). I mean I almost tore my own arms off trying to get that bastard loose. I was actually moving the car! No, I mean physically moving it across the ground by pulling on the stupid ******* bolt!
Do yourself a favor and put just a little anti-seize on the threads before it goes back in. Steel bolt, Aluminum tranny, it gonna corrode eventually. Anti-seize is your friend!
TIP: Only use a 6 point socket or wrench, no 12 pointers!

Put wrench on bolt. Grab side of car and slide legs underneath. Push on wrench with foot. It will come loose with enough toying. Or just get a 1200 ft-lb air impact on it.
But yes you can fill it though there.
I fill through my VSS hole. I still remove the 'fill plug' to check for proper fluid level.
