what is the defination of "integra"?
i was sitting here bored today and i was wondering what integra really means. Does anybody have the defination or know what it means?
very entertaining...not bashing...but think of it this way
what the hell does modena mean? or what does corvette mean? theyre car names man...supposed to just be simple and catchy
in all honesty though, to answer your question...i think its a derivative from integrated...which basically means everything is incorporated...in all honesty it is a very fine vehicle....and to me its got it al....so maybe thats what its all about

not all car names have no meaning... for example...
Scirocco -> Dessert Wind
Corrado -> to sprint or to run at a fast pace

Integra is not an english word - and not likely a foreign word either. I'm guessing integra was created by a team of consultants that wanted to make people think of the word integrity.
An example of a similar type of marketing is Atlria which is the new name for Phillip Morris company. Sounds close to altruism doesn't it? Ironic MO is the farthest thing from altruistism as can be.

modena is the name of an italian village. you'll notice all ferrari models are named after towns or people relevant to the company.
integra is a catchy name that a marketing firm made up for honda. simliar to how the names civic, accord, prelude, legend, vigor, oddyssey, pilot and a few others.
tl, rl, nsx, crv, crx, rsx, el, mdx are not catchy names, but still from marketing firms.
at least the letters in mercedes-benz's models designations mean something. in german, of course.

I seem to remember learing in astronomy class that it is the japanese name for the seven sisters constellation, hence the seven stars on the old school logo.
