Crower Econo vs Eagle
i have searched and searched, and only heard 50/50 good and bad things about eagle, but nothing on the Crower Econo rods. i plan to build an LSVTEC, i want to have really strong rods and spin it to around 9k at the most. ill have a girdle as well for added strength to the bottom end
does anyone have any input on either of these rods? or perhaps know of another better rod?

Dont know which is better or worse, CROWER themselves order and distribute eagle rods, they make sure the rod bore clearance is perfect when it leaves they're shop...meaning....If your gonna buy eagle rods, i would by them from crower or similar........ A buddy of mine that works at crower in the rod department was saying that they always get eagle rods and the specs of the bore are off, they have to go in and fix them before they sell em.....
then again they might send them like this to crower on purpose for them to fix them, but for customers they send them within specs ...dunno..i need to chat with him some more...

i have run the eagles to 9,500 and a handful of occasions, and to 9,000 a shitload of times on an ls/vtec w/ no problems, and i think mine didnt even have the 9mm arp bolts, just the 8mm bolts. (I think thats the size, i know they changed the rod bolt size sometime to make them stronger yet)
Go eagles over Crower econo. I've seen both and the eagles are made with a better material but the Crowers big end bore and pin bore will be more precise.
Crower billet however is a different story, better everything except for price.
