Need help motor reving up and down
i just bought a 91 civic hatch with stock everything abd the and the motor revs up and down some on seid its a head gasket i was wondering if inyone had a clue and the pasgner side floor board gets soaked when it rains ideas please help
I would say the floorboard gets wet when it rains because it may not have the wheel well guards installed.
I would say clean your T/B with some carb cleaner and see of that helps the surging idle. You could also sea foam it and try and get rid of some of the carbon deposits that old motor may have.

your heater core might be leaking, i've seen it happen before, if not, its your window seals....
as for the rapid idle, it could be your IACV.. clean it and you'll be fine, if not, replace it

Yup, its probably the head gasket. Change it and both the fluctuating idle and the floor board leak should be fixed.
