Default Coolant problem and overheating problem

When I start my car and let it run for a couple minute
1) the upper rad hose is hot and my low rad hose is cold
2) the headers gasket starts to bubble and steam starts to come
3) the fan doesnt come on

I already drain the rad fluid and add new fluid and the thermostat is new when i did my swap. The head gasket is new b/c i replace it twice. There was gas in the oil and I drain and replace the oil. (the oil look gray) And i have to fix my 41 code.

1. Sure the thermostat was installed correctly, maybe put in backwards.
2. You have 2 headers on that thing ? jk, do you mean head gasket or exhaust gasket ?
3. Hit the fan with 12 volts, if it comes on then its either a wiring problem or sending unit problem.

Why did you replace the head gasket twice ??? If it was because of an overheating issue, did you check for cracks or straightness of the head and block ? Is the car smoking at all ?

1)The thermostat was installed correct. I double check it before i installed it.
2)The exhaust gasket is what i'm talkin about. Sorry about for not telling which gasket.
3)Then i'll hit the fan with 12v.

Had to replace the head gasket b/c I had to replace the head bolts. My motor is a b16a2 with a gsr head. I was suppose to use the si head bolt instead of gsr. The gsr where to long and had compression problems. The head and block had no cranks and there straight.
The car smoke or steam start at the exhaust header gasket (meaning it comes from). Its clear smoke (also need to note)

Hmm you sure you installed the head gasket correctly ? You can actually see some kind of liquid bubbling from the exhaust gasket or do you just see steam ? Sounds like your burning coolant.

When I was figuring out why my car didnt start and had to figure out the problem with my distributor. When i thought i had the dizzy set up right and went to start the car. It wouldnt start but the fuel injector were working and then where would the fuel go if it's in the cylinder? So the gas would seap into the oil pan. Right?

okay with the fuel. now about the "steam" you said it was clear right?
if it's white and has a sweet smell you know its coolant.

was the head torqued properlly?
was the old head gasket reused or a new one installed?
was the block and head true when installed?
did the engine overheat before with the wrong head bolts?

</TD></TR></TABLE>

the head is now torque properlly,
new head gasket,
the head and block are match,
no the car never overheated before with the wrong head bolts b/c i never ran the car with the wrong bolt.

if the lower hose doesn't get hot it means the coolant is not circulating. sorry to tell you but check again the thermostat and the sending unit for the fan. good luck.

Also make sure you put the thermostat in water and test to see if it opens. Also you could have a defective water pump.
