Default P28 AUTO to MAN ECU, Questions.

I am in the process of convertion my P28 AUTO ECU to MAN, but I have a couple questions:

1) What should I use to remove the resistors (RP17/18)

2)When soldering the jumper (speaker wire) I heard that you have to be grounded to the computer or something or the other crystals will get different feedback. Is this true?

3) If number 2 is true then how is it that you ground the computer so you dont get the feedback.

Thanks in advance for any information given.

to take the resistor out you can use desodering braid or a desodering gun.
you need to ground yourself so that static dont zap the electronic components

How do you ground yourself?

When soldering the jumper where do you solder it. Do you solder the wire where the green goes or the red goes?

you remove RP17 and RP18 and then replace RP18 with a jumper wire

edit: there is kits to ground yourself

Do you still have to ground yourself if the ECU isnt plugged in?
