I just bought my car and i can't figure out what size lug nuts they are. I have rota slips on the car, and the lug nuts are black, and have a whole in the middle of them wiht a threaded area. They are a very weird size. Almost seems like they are in between 15 and 16mm but im really not sure. I need to get them off quick.

 

honda uses 12mm x 1.5 lug bolts. sounds like you're describing open ended lug nuts. are they locking lug nuts with a special key? its hard to know the size of the nut since its aftermarket and we don't know the brand. post some pictures and you might be able to get some more help.

those look like zenki lug nuts, but its hard to say for certain. i'm confused why you want to know the size. why not just test with your socket wrench? i must be missing something here.

btw, i don't think those are rota slips; they are definitely the spoon sw388 replicas, but the rota versions have different centers than that.

because i cannot find the right size for the lugs

15 mm is to small and 16 is too big.. its in between

also tried standard and nothing fits


wel teres no center caps so maybe thats why:?

 

ahh i see. taking a closer look at the pictures, it doesnt seem like they are even hex nuts. in any case, it sounds like the person/place that sold the car to you didn't include the wheel key. is there a way you can contact them? if not, you may have to take it to shop to remove the lug nuts, not having the wheel key is like being locked out of your car
as for your wheels, i was referring to the whole inner portion of the wheel (everything from the spokes inward), not just the center cap region.

do you think rota is the only company that makes replica wheels?
he already tried putting a socket on it, couldnt get one to fit. read above.

Heh, I don't have anything for you man...

I sell the Zenki lug nuts, not Koyokugens. The Zenkis are standard 19mm hex. You need to get a key from one of Mackin's dealers...

 

just break them off and get extended studds and new lug nuts. hahaha

 

Those really look like Kuyokugen nuts painted black. I had them on my Slips too (and yes those are Slipstreams).

They have a key that gets the weird size that they are. You might have to get yourself one of those. Or just get one of those Gator Grips. They work too. Or if you don't care about the lugs, just hammer a slightly smaller socket onto them and then unscrew them.

And then replace them with ZENKIs because you won't have that issue with them
