Ok i know that a stock Honda crank is forged, but how do they make the rods?

I may be wrong but I believe reading the rods are "sintered" type made powdered steel, and shot peening is also part of the process.

 

I heared that the rods were vacuum cast, does anyone know if this is true?

If the stock rods are shot peened from the factory why do people shot peen them later?

 

B series rods are forged !

As far as I know, Honda rods are forged as well.

 

all honda rods are cast that is all but the C30 and C32 motors not sure about the F20.

 

I have never seen a cast rod in a honda.At least not in the last couple hundred I've worked on.
