200k milestone
well i finally turned 200k on my 96 LS special edition daily driver
. so i treated the car to a few upgrades, new timing belt, water pump and tensioner, gsr tranny and a act prolight flywheel. nothing was wrong with the old tranny and flywheel i just wanted to make the car a little more fun. i just need to fix a leaky oil pan gasket and i'll be ready for another 200k,i hope. heres a couple pics of the car on my poopy camara phone.

thanks i love the new tranny set up.with a gsr tranny in the gearing makes that motor so much more fun. this is my first lightened flywheel and its great, pulls out just like stock, its revs faster but not as fast as i expected, i'll probably go with a lighter flywheel next time. gsr tranny is definitly worth the upgrade.

Congrats dude. I'm at 164,xxx and I'm pretty sure my car will make it past 200,000. A lot of my parts are still original lol. BUt I've had some minor issues from original parts lately. I finally have to replace them.

my LS has almost 175,000. i had a run-in with a junk oil filter, and during the mess i ran it with too much oil for about a week. burnt oil after that (165,000 or 170,000 miles i think). rebuilt the head not long ago, problem seems to be solved, although i have a very slow leak from the pan gasket, but it's only ~3 drops per week. and i still rev that baby to 7300 many times a day. hehe.
