I was driving down the intersate last night and car shut down, Battery light came on, tach went crazy from 4k rpm to 7k and kept jumping back and forth till finally it went to zero, and then cd player cut out and slowly my crx died. after letting the car sit for a while i turned the key and it started back up and died again about 15 minutes later as i was sitting at the light about a block away from my house. after getting a ride home from the local PD, i came back to the car in the morning and again started like a champ. The longer it sat the longer it would run. Im not sure what problem is but my first thought was it mite be the alternator or maybe just the battery. looking for possible cause.

 

Jumping tach + car dying and starting later = ignitor?
Rest of the stuff = wierd?
