B18C JRSC possible?
I posted a question a while back asking if the Jrsc fabricated by HASport would fit on a b18c- was told that the bolt pattern for the intake manifold won't work and the bolts wont line up. Is this true?
Why can't we just buy the jrsc off jackson racing for the b18c - does it not fit? by how much - anyone know? thanks

What you would want to do is just buy the jrsc for a GSR. (go to the Honda-tech sponsor's ad section, there is a guy selling them for a very reasonable price)
The potential problem is with clearance between the unit and the firewall.
If you go to the Hasport web site, I think they cover installing a jrsc on a B16. The same thing should apply when installing the supercharger on a B18c. I don't believe that the jrsc manifold for the GSR puts the supercharger more toward the firewall than for a B16
When I did my engine swap (b18c in 89 hatchback), I went with the Place Racing mounts due to their placing the engine more forward. At some latter date, I plan on going with the jrsc.

Wes, do you think that the HASport mounts will provide enough clearance? How does the JRSC from HASport make the B18C5 work with a JRSC? Does it alter clearance? I sent JR an email asking for clearance measurements but they haven't responded yet.
would you happen to know somehow the measurements of the jrsc?

I'd recommend that you call Hasport and ask to speak to Brian Gillespie (sp). His web site says that the set-up will fit the B18C5, along with the B16 motors.
It's rather hard to contact knowledgable people at Jackson Racing.
I guess that there is something "specific" with the kit that helps give more clearance, but I don't know what it is. I think that the difference is in the supercharger set-up and not in the motor mounts.
Short of getting answers from Brian, I'd recommend that you check to see if the B18C5 has the same intake manifold gasket as the GSR B18C. I do know that the B16 head has a different bolt pattern than the B18C.
