Yikes! Attempted theft on '00 1547
I go out to my car today and the passanger rear window was broken in. The steering wheel + airbag was stolen and the hood was popped. Fortunately everything under the hood looks to be intact.
5+years in this place and 1st time something like this happens.
Gotta go look out for the police to make a report. Pics later

Just noticed they stole a book of CDs I have in my door too. I probably haven't listened to them in years. Bah!
I'd agree they were just looking for the quick CDs + airbag if the hood wasn't popped. That's what worries me. I had always thought an alarm wasn't worth it as theives can so easily bypass them if they really want the car but it sure would have helped in a case like this.
The police dusted a few prints from the outside, but they're probably mine.
I've got a fried coming over with a digital camera so pix0rz will come soon.
Any ideas how much to replace the rear quarterpanel glass? I haven't talked to my insurance yet but I'm guessing the wheel + the glass is > $500 (my deductable).
Maybe it's time to look for a JDM steering wheel now?

damn...i hope insurance does not total the car considering the airbags were stolen. sh*t is expensive to replace with new oem parts

Nah it wasn't in a wreck, just vandalized

Lol, yeah I screwed up when I was cropping them. I usually print screen to resize then crop. They're fixed now

That's my fear. I don't know if they are Honda/Acura thieves or just some schmucks who were after an airbag and CDs. I really wouldn't mind if it this happened in a parking lot but it's creepy since it happened at my apartment. The landlord said someone had his radio stolen a few months ago and that kind of stuff happens every year or so. I've been here 5 years and no cars have been stolen (*knocks on wood*)

You are very lucky!!! Better with garage althought it is useless if they really want it. But, at least, some strangers from different won't know you got a R if you keep it in garage = less potential to be stolen.
