God i am stupid
yeah, im sure most of you here know that alredy from my previous posts, but tonite takes the cake. so i was installing my new hoses my girlfriend bought me and im all pissed. i go to take one off and i guess i squeezed to hard or something cause i broke the connector . is there anyway to get it back on?? like i know glue or w/e but is superglue safe?? or will there be cracks on it and stuff for air to get thru. im using electrical tape rite now soo ya. but also, my idle speed is like 1600, but it goes down after around 4-5 min of driving. i know its a vacuum leak cause when i turn the car off it goes like eerrrrrrreeaaaaa or w/e. like your trying to breath thru a small crack. how do i figure out what hose or w/e is leaking. also, whenever i press the brake and pump it the idle goes up. dunno what thats about, but i think its just the car rocking the accel down. if you all can help me and stick with me id be greatful. thanks.
Uhhh.. well.. were really going to need some pictures of your girlfriend before we can actually tell what broke and what can do about it. If it's just a vacuum hose, any reliable way of fixing it would work, as long as nothing gets sucked in or air leaks... Got a digi cam?
Hey, ill post pics (of my gf and the car) gimme like 20 min
well nm, i just realized its like 1 20 am... and thers no sun outside.... :-\. well ill try to get some pics tomorow.

ok, pics definatly after i get off work, but ill tell you where it its. like right behind the engine (like right above the throttle body) theres a plastic piece with 2 hoses coming off of it. there are wires going into the top of the same piece. My friend who "knows nothing of hondas" told me it was the Mass Airflow Sensor (as well as to not take his word about it and to ask someone who knew). But yeah i broke one of the plastic rods??? i guess dunno what exactly to call them. Yeah, these arent the radiator hoses i have alminum ones imma put in after i find the vacuum leak, cause its reallypissing me off, my gf works at pep-boys so i think imma just take it in there do alignment, and get them to check/ replace my hoses. but any help to not spend the money required for that would help.

</TD></TR></TABLE>
i didn't know there was a ricer vacuum line? the only line better than the other is Akimoto cause it's built for boost..?
i wish i knew to tell you, i just checked my teg cause itis a B18A but must be something specific to the OBD1 cars and not to the OBD0.
what it sounds like to me by description is an idle stabilizer valve but i don't know if honda ever incorprated one, but VW is really big with them, and i know they're not the only ones to use them. but then again i've never seen an ISV run off of lines smaller than like 1" heater hose...
i would take the factory part number off of it and call up a honda dealership and give them the part number and ask for a price on it. they ususally will say what the part is too...
and if it's plastic over years of sitting pieces like that are known to break... i would try glueing it together till tomorrow...

i cant post anymore but heres pics of my car.
the problem is where the blue hose is next to the black hose. it is electrical taped on there and thers a gap about - wide between the hose. im thinking glue will work fine but do you all know what that is??

hey man your prob looks pretty minor if im seeing it correctly, thiers not alot of pressure or fuid running through that line so if u can get it to seal up nicely u should be ok, but try to use a sealer or glue that can take heat, not shure is super glue can or not. here is a pic of my car. the line with the blue cover is just a line comming out of your rume box for your fuel filter. the other wire if for a air sensor of some sort. but again no no magore pressures or fluid.
hope it helps

dood i think your in big ****. From the look of how you broke the hose piece, your probably going to have to get a new engine because of how its all connected together. They don't make parts like that anymore and on every car they are different. You should let your girlfriend do your engine work for now on and take those pics.

thanks alot for your help, i got it sealed up and ready for my next thing. imma get a jdm gsr engine. ive only asked 3 people but they said that the engine is better to tune than the Type-R and the prelude (h22a or something???). They are people from the dealership that i know so i kinda trust them. and thanks again.
