How to remove stereo in 02 - 04 civic si
I have seen a lot of inqueries as to how to remove the stereos from our Si's and not any answers. I was one such person searching for this answer, and below is a summary of what the dealer service manual has to say.
1)Remove drivers lower dashboard cover ( turn lock ***** 90 degrees)
2)Remove passenger lower dashboard cover (pull back edge to release clips)
3)Remove glove box ( glove box stop clips, then bolt on each side)
4)Remove shift lever trim (remove shifter ****, tap upper right side of trim w 11" ratchet extension from the back from the passenger side lower dash and glove box opening, pull other clips, separate hazard warning switch connector)
5)remove two bolts ( one on both pass. and driver side at the top of where shifter trim was) Pull out center panel to release clips and hooks, remove the harness holder, disconnect the audio unit connector, antenna lead, heater switch and control connectors.
THere now wasn't that easy
I hope this helps some of you guys. I know there are no pictures, but at least you know the steps.
