Installing cam gears.
If i align the cam gear marks so both arrows are pointing and the Up marks are Up. Can i just simply tie wrap down the belt to one cam gear (so it dosent move), slip off the other one, put on the adj one. Then tie wrap the adj one and slip off the other side and slip on the new one?
Or is there too much tesion in the belt without releasing the tensioner to do it this way. Ive had these gears about a month and havent put them on yet.
Any help?

Hmm, I think even if you used zip ties the cam gears would still move. Unless maybe you zip tied the 2 cam gears together, and then zip tied each cam gear to the timing belt.
You should really get the engine at tdc ( top dead center ) . Release the timing belt tension and remove the belt, then just take the cam gears off and put the new ones on so there at tdc.

dude, on my b18c there's a little cap that goes over the tensioner bolt, just pop that. it's really easy. i did it in 5 min (cam gear swap) once i figured out how to hold my gears down
