2001 gsr...i work at a stealership should i buy it? its a used car trade in
well i work as a tech in a gm stealership
we recently got a 2001 gsr as a used car, i had to put new tires on it, man as soon as i saw it i really wanted it for a daily driver, im tired of driving my 1990 project hatch with its old feeling interior, its afterall my project and i dont really like driving it but its my only car
the ppl at work said we can get used cars for what the STEALER GOT IT FOR, so no mark up only a couple hundred bux for paper work, i asked and they said they would have to wait till all the work is done with it then when it gets on the lot they can gimme a price
i HEARD somewhere along 15k CUSTOMER price, so i could probably get it for maybe 12k?ish or lower HOPEFULLY.
my question is how much they usually go for in good condition, motor bay you can eat off, im guessing 14-16k?
also after i put the new tires on i decided to take it for a road test, i heard the p/s making a slight noise..iono if if the pump is going out but im gonna bring it up to them
what shade reds come in 2001? im thinking its san marino red(sp)

i am guessin ur deal will be 2 times cheaper then any deal from a private dealer, the dealer ship probably only paid like 10 -8 grand max on that car they will prob sell it 2 u for that price its a great deal u should take advantage
EDIT: go http://www.kbb.com they will give u dealership trade in price for that car and basically and a total of a grand on to that and u got ur self a nice *** GSR!! i rated it with 80000 miles and good condition they would buy it for 8400 sometthin so 9400 or so u will get it for wit taxes fees etc

i work at the dealership, not stealership
i got my gsr at 400 over wholesale price. 13k. not bad. low miles
would've been cheaper if it was at my honda dealership, but i had to go to acura. oh well. same difference. they still hooked me up.
since you're a tech, i'm sure you can figure out whether or not the car is worth the price they're gonna give you.

Tell the manager to run a Blue Book value of the car. Dealerships base their trade in value on the wholesale Blue Book value and the condition of the car. Basically you can probably buy the GSR for wholesale value. I don't have my Blue Book software on this computer, but the one at home I do.
Never heard of a Ruby Red color; I thought it was called Cayenne Red Pearl. According to sources, there was a Ruby Red Pearl. Anyways, I owned a Milano Red GSR and it was sexy as hell.
With an *** like this, who could go wrong?

yeah, if you work at a dealership they usually take care of you price wise...i got my beater, a 94 sentra, for 250 bucks! 10,500 for a 01 gsr is unheard of, i feel bad for the person who actually accepted that price for a relatively valuable car...hope you mom will help you swing that deal
