Default looking to get an integra

Hi everyone, this is my first post and I decided to come here to ask a few questions because it seemed like the right place, i hope I got the right forum. But anyway, im looking to get a new car, and really like 94+ integra's. Ive found a few for sale in my area, and Ive found a '94 GSR thats all stock for 5800, its got 100k miles on it. Im kinda concerned about the amoutn of miles on it, 100k is alot right? Is it too much to conisder buying now, and how long should an engine last? If i were to get it, could I still make mods to it and still have it last me a few years? I want a car for performance and this car seems ideal for me.

100k miles is not that much it all depends how they used it, if they abused the car or not.... and yes it will long more for if u take gud care of em.. and yes u can put some lil mods on em.... just make sure right when u get it do a tune up, change the oil to full systhetic, change the timing belt etc.... and u should be fine...

100k is nothing at all. sounds like a buy but i bet u can get them down to about 5500 or even lower. just bargain a little. you can do good mods to a 94 gsr and the performance will be very nice. but do what stock_ls said and change the oil, timing belt, ect. and you will be on ur way. gl and come here for any questions just make sure u dont make it a ricer

OK thats really good to know im glad to hear that it will last me awhile. Im waiting for my insurance company to call me and ill get a quote from them for how much it would cost to have an integra, which im sure will make it pretty expensive. How is everyones experience with insurance and integras? And also, what are the best integras for performance?

expect at least 500 to 600 for 6 months,,but its really depend on ur driving record.. btw how old are you ? how ur driving record ? how many tickets u had so far ? but hey once u get the car (acura integra) invest ur first money out on gud security alarm.. and after that u can do ur mods and all that... i know my inurance is gonan suck because of my age and record. Im 18, and ive had one accident which was recent, which is why I have to get a new car. I used to have an altima, and couldnt even get full coverage becuase it was so expensive. I have the third best liability, plus uninsured motorist, which was 178 a month. This was the best insurance I could find, every where else was WAY outrageous. But Ive never had any tickets, never even gotten pulled over. So yeah, my insurance will probably be pretty bad, i know. But how bad do you think it will go up? I have concord here in texas by the way. And again, is the GSR the fastest version of the integra? How about modding that engine. And what exatly is VTEC? sorry for all the questions I know I sound clueless here. Thanks.

my insurance is 900 for 6 month. 17 years old, clean record with that student discount still bs. the 94 GSR was the fast until 97 when the typeR was introduced.
