Default Rev Limit? (12:5 B20/Vtec, stock sleeves)

yeah i guess the title says all. i but a 12:5 comp. b20/vtec monster in my R and i have been hearing some mixed opinions on how high i should take it. i have heard anywhere for 8000 max to 10000 max and that b20 can crack sleeves easily if you rev them. (my friend spun his that high w/ skunk stage 3) i know that cams play a hugh part also (i have the crower stage 2 so i know it won't make power up to 10000 or anything crazy like that.) any help would be appreciated. thanks

i have a b20vtec w/stock internals and i have reved it up to 8700 and nothing has happened. but i wouldnt go over 9000 even if you can make power above that rpm. just make sure you are giving it pleanty of fuel. i would say to be safe keep it around 8500
