Default Decisions Decisions

i've got my 84 mm pistons, rings, and pins in the garage.

i was curious if i should just buy a b20z shortblock or just bore out my b18c1 to 84 mm.

the heads going to be a gsr with itr valvesprings, retainers, and ctr cams.
compression for the pistons is rated at 11.8, forged.
other than that just basic bolt-ons...
recommendations?

yes you have to sleeve the gsr block which is more$$$ OR YOU CAN JUST DROP THOSE PISTONS INTO THE B20 BLOCK

no, you should tell who ever is trying to sell you an ls block for 500.00 to kiss your ***. I paid 200.00 for my ls block and crank! There are better deals out there. Unless you use the b20, you'll have to sleeve. That can cost anywhere from 700-1200.00 depending on who you send it to. I would run the b20 with a block guard. That should be fine as long as you dont run too much boost (if thats your intention). Good luck, search for a better deal on an ls block.

thanks, i guess i'll go and seach for a b20 motor rather than bore it out. it sounds like a much cheaper, better idea.
