Ok, here is a question from a n00b to B17A, even though this is the 2nd Aztec Green GS-R that I have owned.

My first 92, I only did intake and exhaust, and that was it. Exhaust was custom, and intake just replaced the box.

I have since owned a 99 and 00 Si. So modding a B16 is easy for me.

I believe that the B17A and B16 heads were supposed to be similar, or the same. Differences being the block.

Here is the question...are B16 cams, cam gears, intake manifolds, clutches, flywheels, gaskets...etc, interchangeable with the B17?

In other words, in searching the internet you will find everything FOR a B16, and no mention of B17 parts. But if I bought the above mentioned items for a B16 can I install them on the B17?

Any help is greatly appreciated, and again, I am sure that they are, but I want to make sure before I have to purchase anything.

b16 parts are interchangeable with b17 parts. head is the same cast.

yeap anything for b16 fits b17a..

 

The B16 and B17 are identical from the block to the head with the exception of the crank, the rods and pistons....A B17 is basically a stroked B16 with a slightly lower compression pistons....Some electrical parts vary from different years, mainly just the connectors......And yes G2IC has loads of info all focused on the 2nd gen Integra.......
