Starting my Manual swap...need advice
Ok, im going to bolt up a 4th get tranny to a 5th gen. I went to a junkyard and found these...
Ok, so i got a shifter assembly from a 5th gen and the shift linkage. I got these axles out of a 4th gen and that half shaft too. Is that the stuff that i need? Im just makin sure im headed in the right direction.

Your gonna need a clutch pedal, brake pedal since they sit diffrent than the auto. Also make sure u get a 5 speed ECU from the same year as ur car. 97-98 are compatible, 99-00-01 are compatible. When i did my swap i had a 97 ecu in a 99 and my car idled funny and stalled after getting gas..Also make sure u have clutch resovoir, hydrualic booster and necessary line from pedal to those parts..
Also, does the 5th gen shifter assembly and the 5th gen shift linkage work just the same with a 4th gen tranny? I really need some help with this...
search please
