I believe that 87mm is the maximum safe bore really allow to a 1.8L...should be alright...I would not buy it though...Id build my own...you don't know what you get is really what is pictured, could be different. His buy/sell rating is perfect...most likely its legit.
First of all it's 2.07 liters. Second of all if my calculations are correct H22A Type S pistons in GSR Block is more like 12:1. I think there's probably some reasons he's selling this motor never even started probably.
after i thought about it a lil, it seems like its kinda cool you could do that to a b18 non vtec. i know it would not be best for turbo though and those pistons are a lil high for my turbo setup. would it be ok if i used it in an all motor setup? my friend wants to know if it could work if she slapped the ported/polished non vtec head on it along with these spare crower 403 cams/valvesprings and retainers lying around in my shop. she doesnt trust the vtec... just like me.
Yes theoretically you could put a PR4 head on there. It would be a total waste though. The VTEC head is superior in every way, whether you trust it or not. Buying a block this expensive and sticking a PR4 head on there just because would be pretty silly. But like I posted before, I wouldn't buy this. Too much you don't know about it, and if like I've shown the seller can't even compute the displacement correctly or his CR, then why trust his block is worthy
