Default CAR PROBLEMS!!! grrr...

Since i've owned my 93 Honda Prelude SR, soo much ish has happened to it.. I lived downtown so it got jacked and broken into so many times.. spent $700 on compustar alarm.. still got jacked....
leaks oil....
3 weeks ago had the rotor and distributor cap replaced by honda for $2000

My NEWEST PROBLEM is...

i was driving yesterday and my car kinda jerked or jumped...later on that day i noticed the transmition light was flashing... then when i was pressing on the gas there was no power!!! but it was revving.

I took it home and checked transmission fluid and it seems fine...

Do i need a new transmission?? what's wrong?? and is it bad if i keep driving it even though it seems fine now???

is the car an auto or manual? could be that the axle popped out, has happened to me a few times, or bad axle, or bad tranny.

do I sense sarcasm or did you really spend $2000 on a new cap and rotor? hahaha...

You did not seriously pay $2000 for a cap and rotor?!? $200 is way to damn much...

Auto or manual?

Anyhow, I assume you have an auto, because you have a transmission light blinking. Low tranny fluid level will definately over-rev when you accelerate, so check the level, or even drain and refill. Smell it to see if it's burnt.

If there is a fuel problem causing that bucking, you should get a CEL.

if your tranny light is on but the gears won't enguage, that sounds bad. Take it to a tranny shop and have them open it up and take a look. I am not sure about 4th gens, but I don't think they have to pull it to open it. You can probably have an inspection done for under $100, but a new tranny will run you quite a bit.

So none of the gears work..... is that what I am reading?
