Rippin apart the GSR so i was wondering how should i go about getting the bearings? Am i going to hafta order them after i have the rods out and i know what sizes i need?
I called local Acura dealers and they said there were none in my state. So there goes the ability to just pick em up.
What do you guys think?

yes, DEFINITELY wait until you are all ready to put your block back together. make sure your bearing journals are within spec. then if they are, call up honda or acura (honda usually has all the parts acura does) and tell them what the specs are and they should give you color code for your bearings, then you buy : ) im assuming your having a shop do the work? gl

which hondas share the same bearings as the b18c1?
Nope, doin the work with just the bro and I.
between him and I we've done headgaskets, clutches and more. shouldnt be that bad.
I wish there was a place i can actually just pick the bearings up from. IL acuras dont have em

Someone want to explain more how ACL Universals work? I heard they are all like the honda green bearings (kinda in the middle right?) So how do you adjust for clearances. Do you just plastiguage it and then buy the other OEM colors if necessary?
you dont adjust for clearances at all since they are 'universal'. they fall within spec too. pretty crazy if you ask me but honda wants things colored to be in that 'sweet spot'....lol

order them thru EARL. im using ACL bearings and they are awesome. unless u got digital calipers, u would not be able to tell exactly what color/size OEM bearings u need using plastigauge.
