Default Water in one of my headlights.

(I did a search and didnt find anything useful)

A few months ago I got into a minor accident in which I rear-ended someone. There didn’t appear to be that much damage to my car so I opted not to use the insurance money to get the damage fixed.

Well, now that it has started to rain one of my headlights has filled nearly halfway with water. I guess I must have cracked the assembly. So here is my question….

How much is it to replace the assembly, and is it difficult to do?
I would like to try to do this myself due to the fact I am a broke bastard.

Much appreciated.

If there is just a crack in the assembly or where your headlights are put together, you can buy some clear sealant. I sealed my headlights recently cause they were fogging up due to the cold. Hope this helps.

If the sealant doesnt take car of it, how much would it be to replace the assembly?

Go to AutoZone they have some adheasive spray for lights it is supposed to evaporate the moisture from the headlights it really works I think it is a Eagle One product I saw it recently at a car show.

If you are just talking about replacing the headlights, i say look into different junkyards but just make sure the headlights are for your car. 94-97 headlights are different than 98-01 headlights. Shouldn't be over $100 especially if you just replace one of the assemblies and not both of them. Good luck with everything
