Default what ecu can i put in a 98 civic soch ?

what ecu can i put in a 98 civic dx without messing up the car or system . i was intersted in putting a 96-98 ecu ex vtec or 92-95 si / ex ecu will it damage my car. And will it give me any power hp gains .

You could try a P06 OBD1 ecu, might be the only ecu you will gain anything from with a relatively stock motor. Even then the gains will be very minimal, but probably noticable

what car does come from year,model and does it have vtec because i'm about put a vtec head . I have headers intake and what kind of difference would it do

If you are going to a vtec head, get a chipped P28 ecu and a conversion harness.
