Default Integra Type R / RSX Type-S

Hey guys, I just subbed to this forum recently and I started to gain interest in the Integra Type-R. Just browsin around and the thought came to my head. Between the RSX-S and the Integra-R, which stock can run the faster 60's? I know the ITR is running around 195 HP and weighs under 3,000LBs with high redline but can it outrun the RSX-S? Just really curious. Thanks~

The R is a much more spirited car that has more of a rawness to it. It rips through corners and sings in vtec. The RSX is more refined, but it's performance suffers b/c of its weight. It does however have a fantastic motor with plenty of potential, it just needs a lighter platform to work from.

As far as speed... a stock R will outrun an RSX any day and will destroy one on the track. (An ITR, even in stock trim can do a thorough job of pissing of an owner of a 100,000.oo car on the track) I've never raced a stock RSX, but I raced a modded one. My itr had an intake and a chipped ecu v.s. 02 Rsx with intake, exhaust, header, 50 shot of nitrous hondata tuned! He beat me by a car-length 0-100, which in my opinion ins't bad at all for an itr with 100,000 miles. If he wasn't spraying it would be whole different story

oh, my itr clocked in a little shy of 2600 lbs, ac, spare tire, and a trunk full of detailing products. I think the curb weight is roughly 2500 or so.

use the search button!

I would take an ITR over an 03-04 RSX-S.. the 05 is tempting.. getting closer to a DC5R..

Well, yeah, but the ITR doesn't have cruise control.

The R is not the best drag car in the world, but it rocks on road courses.

Also, high RPM by itself doesn't help at all, it's just a means to an end (squeezing 195 HP out of a 1.8L motor).
