Anyone ever stripped the paint off there ITR wheels? Finish look like gsr or si wheels?
I have been thinking about air craft stripping my stock ITR wheels. Has anyone ever done this, and or have pictures of what they look like? I was just curious if they end up with a finish such as the 94-95 GSR wheels or 99-00 Si wheels? I think if they look decent after paint stripping they would look simular to the NSX wheel. Let me know if you think this is a good idea, or not. Thanks
Doesn't look like anything specia, maybe with a little more bling of the nsx wheels they would own.
I stripped em, and added Honda S2000 center caps. Came out pretty good.

yeah, the only problem is that the clearcoat I had sprayed on (by a painter) stripped off after about three months of street driving.
I will be dismounting the tires and re-clear coating them this winter.

that looks really nice. my rims have a couple chips here and there and i was thinking of getting them repainted. after looking at those, i might consider just stripping it off and keeping it like that. not sure yet
I've been working on doing this to mine for the past few weeks. (few minutes every couple days. I don't have much free time) Once you get them cleaned up they really look awesome in bare aluminum.
Thanks everyone for posting up some pictures. Now, whats the safest way to strip them? I was thinkin about using air craft stripper remover? Does that seem to work the best?
Aircraft stripper will do the job. I used that **** at work on hoods and wheels to be repainted but never to jus clear and call it finished so im not really sure how well it would turn out. But good luck if u decide to do it cus it looks teh hottness!!
