perhaps you can take off the plastic shield under the car and try to jimmy the latch open somehow from underneath? other then that i cant tell you, never happened to me b4 and i would need to be there to think of a good idea!

hmm that is a pickle. Not sure. I think you may have to grin and bear it and cut your hood out. Or bumper which ever is cheaper to replace. Or go ask a dealership. Maybe they have ideas.

i never take my cars to the dealer, but in this scenario i think you might be best off doing so. ask them what to do and maybe if youre not confident in what they say to do, have them do it for ya.

that's weird though that the cable broke... my car got in a huge accident (totalled actually) and the front hood's cable still was fine, then again the hood latch was mangled shitless

good luck man!

oh yeah, time for the crow bar. go easy. you can always get a new latch from the junkyard.

i took off the front undershield and a can stick my head up between the radiator and headers, but i cant seea whole lot and i'm not sure whati'm supposed to be trying to move.
all i know is i tried pulling the cable and the hood didnt pop, so i unhooked it from the pull tab and pulled the cable with a pair of pliers and the cable pulled out like another 5 inches

maybe i can figure out what to move under the latch. too bad i'm poor or it'd just be time for a new front bumper

are you ******* joking me??? wow. just jack it up and pop the hood. then you can figure out some way to secure the wire back onto the latch. i have done this on my eg so i know it works

my cable broke so i have to open it manually all the time.

Since you took off the cover feel behind the latch and theres gonna be a little piece of metal blocking off the latch so bend that away. After that, just push things left and right and you'll feel a spring but the latch will pop open.

look at a friends latch and look it over real good to see what you need to move so when you reach up there you know what your looking for rather then going in blind.

I used a coat hanger... just loop, swoop, and pull like a bastard!
Just so you know... the hanger WILL be useless after you do this
