IM DOIN THIS CAUSE FROM MY RESEARCH ALOT OF POEPLE ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS TYP OF SWAP.HERE IT IS. I GOT A 96 I HAVE HAD FOR OVER 6 YEARS & IM FINALLY DOIN IT.
IM NO LONGER DEPENDENT ON IT SO ITS TIME TO UPGRADE THE MOTOR.
HERE IS THE 96, I DID ALL THE BODY WORK, SHAVED THE BUMP RAILS ON SIDES. GOT A NEW HOOD. THE BUMPER I HAVE HAD FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS HAVENT FIXED IT UP YET JUST TOOK ALL THE OLD PAINT OFF. THE 3 PIECE WING WILL GO ON IN ABOUT A MOTH ( NOT A TOP FUEL WING LIKE EVEYONE PUTS ON THEIR CARS LOL) ITS TO SILLY LOOKING FOR ME. ALSO A CUSTOM BUMPER, NOT ON YET. HERE IS THE BLACK 2000 GSR MAN A LITTLE BANGED UP BUT ITS ONLY GOT 68 THOUSAND MILE. INTERIOR IS EXCELLENT TAIL END IS PERFECT. EXCELLENT DONOR CAR. I WILL BE UPGRADING THE MOUNTS CLUTCH, FLY WHEEL, COMP, PULLEYS, CAMS MAYBE, HEADER EXHAUST, & WILL BE TRASNFERING MY NOS OVER AS WELL. ASLO MY SUSPENSION WILL STAY THE SAME ( ITS LOWERD & HARD AS HELL CAUSE I LIKE TO POWER DRIFT THE CAR LATE AT NIGHT ITS THE BEST TIME. THE ATMOSPHERE IS GREAT ). THEN I WILL TAKE IT EASY FOR A WHILE & JUST GET USED TO THE NEW SET UP & LEARN THE MOTORS ATTITUDE (AGAIN) TESTING ITS LIMITS (JUST A LITTLE) THEN ILL DO MORE SERIOUS UPGRADES. IF YOUR WONDERING ABOUT THE WIRING SYSTEM I GOT MOST OF IT FIGURED OUT. THE WIRE HARNESS ADAPTER IS COMING FROM FULLRACING.COM ( THE GUYS NAME IS TODD HE IS GREAT HELP Had lots of experience & is one of Arizona's top authority on these situations. then u got hassport.com they are good for the mount kits & adapters for auto 2 man mounts (trans side only) now u got locashracing.com they are their to help with the programing of the ecu & helping me especially with the 2000 ignition demobilizer. (unless u want to take the whole dash apart & change the complete ignition system.) but in my case i don't have a key so im doin the demobilizer. well that's all the detail i got now im doin the swap sat in my garage so we will see.
