AC Control Problem
I have a problem with my AC controls in my 91 CRX. In the last month my controls no longer work on 1 and 2, now they only work on 3 and 4 setting, has anyone else had this problem?

Sup Vap!.
Little more info for you..
Take out the two screws on the bottom of the glovebox and work it out,
Then unplug the connector and remove..inside are coils
which one or two will be broken..
2704963 RESISTOR 79330-SH3-003 is the part number I have..
Around 36.00 is what I paid like three years ago..

Mine didn't either, then I smelled burning, now it doesn't work anymore. I have a bigger issue though. How do you keep your a/c controls from breaking? What, is it the chassis flexing that causes this to snap in two? Some help please. (not thread jacking, solving a mystery)

What cracks the heater control is the stress created by the resistance
of the cables..It has to move two different ones at the same time..
Folks tend to leave it at one position for
long periods of time and the lube inside the cable dries up..
What I did: used a motorcycle cable luber and shot the cables full
of aerosal white lithium grease:

i run the ac alot and have gone though 3 resistors in 2 years. i'm going to put a PWM control in there insted of the stock.

Do all the resistors have to be replaced at once? Or can i replace individual resistors? All I need is the resistor color code and i'm set if that is possible.
Mine was doing that, so I took it into the Honda dealer and came to find out that the blower motor was going out. After 13 years, it did it's duty. 3 hours and only 300 dollars later (the diagnostic fee was waived), I had a new motor installed and everything is great.
