Default tach is jumpy

With the weather getting colder lately...i noticed my tach needle jumps around on a cold startup. Once it warms up its fine.

What could be causing this?

Typically some sort of dizzy issue causes a jumpy tach. The only other thing would be a loose wire.

when you say its jumpy do you mean it revs up and down a few hundred rpm's or is it actually jumpy crazy like an electrical problem?
