spun bearing or LMAS?
Ive got this clicking noise coming from my new engine. Its high pitched, and kinda sounds like the button on the bottom of those snapple caps. Anyway, I tried pulling spark plug wires to eliminate the bad cylinder, but the sound neither increase or decreased in intensity. I removed the oil pan, and checked the rods, there was no abnormal play, they felt like they did freshly built. And if I put a scredriver to my ear, the sound seems to be coming from the head and not the block, Its best heard by the timing belt.
I think it might be LMAs since im runing b16a1 LMAs with crower stage 2 cams. Can someone tell me what bad LMAS sound like? Like a snapple cap? Or is this a spun bearing? I guess I should have taken the rod caps off, but it seems impossibler from the bottom of the car, what tool could i use?
