Default muffler from a local shop instead of catback??

hey, im getting all my exhaust pipes replaced, including my cat and A pipe, because theyre all haggered and full of holes. but- it pretty much looks like im getting a "preformance" muffler instead of getting a whole catback kit from apex or greddy. soo...is there any positives to this? anyone else have this? im hoping its not gonna sound highpitched and all that...but my dad seems to have a more of a say than me since hes paying half. im trying not to be picky considering anything other than my stock one would be awesome,my stock one is rediculously loud and plus i just had to replace my distributor for 600.lol.
thanks in advance!- jackie<3

It really depends what they put on there jackie. You should ask them what diameter piping they are using, are they replacing your catalytic converter, and is it mandrel bent, and as far as that "performance muffler" sounding bad, i bet it does. My sister had a no name muffler on her h22a1 black bb4, and it looked ok at first, but it rusted more than cast iron in salt, and sounded more rice than my rice cooker.

If your dad doesn't know better, you can tell him that you won't pass emissions with that piping HAHAHAHA

apexi N1 is kinda ricey sounding tho...
