Could you have shorted one of the sensors when painting?

mine did something like that... Its a wiring issue. I just disconnected the little beeper at the top. It has something to do with a sensor from the door, and since I could never find it, I just unhooked it.

i went and check the door again, took off the door panels on both side, disconnect 3 seperate plugs. did it on the other side too. now the door light won't come on. haha which is cooL. but the selt belt light is still beeping and flashing.. i also disconnected the plug on the bottom of the seat . . . on both seats . . still see the selt belt light . . . WHAT TO DO NOW? I just want that beep to go away and the flashing selt belt sign to not light on. . can i disconnect a wire for that to happen?

Just pull the beeper out

Since it is not hooked up to any safety devices there is nothing lost by getting rid of it.

that beeping sound is telling you that your door is open and your driving, but the beeping sound itself is coming from the seatbelt indicator probably telling you that your seatbelt isnt setup correct because your door is slightly open.

this happened to me the other day, my seatbelt just started beeping every 3 seconds, i opened and closed my door and it went away. i test it i started driving with my door open and it started doing it again

in my case it wasnt the seatbelt thing, it was the act of the door being opened. I took off the little thing by the rearview mirror and pulled the plug, replace.
