ctr cams help

Default ctr cams help

i installed some ctr cams in my b16 a few weeks ago and it was running fine until i had someone adjust the valves to 7 in and 8 ex and now my car stalls at every stop. i dont know what the hell he did but if you know let me know. oh and whats the best postion to put cam gears on a untune car with the ctr cams???

Well you want to leave the cam gears at 0,0 until you get it tuned. But as for the valve adjustment that sounds right but i am not 100% sure about that. There is a special way to do the adjustment. I know someone knows exactly how to do it but you adjust some of the valves at TDC and some of them at BDC. I think you start on the intake cam and start from the right, adjust on the right two. Then turn the crank to BDC and adjust. Then turn it back to TDC and adjust the first set of the right most valves and adjust. Turn to BDC and adjust the next set of valves to the left. Turn it back to TDC and adjust. Then you finally turn it back to BDC and adjust the final set of valves which should be the set on the bottom left side of the head. This is how me and my friend did mine and his and our cars run great, hope this helps. Good luck.
