Default anyone with a gsr cluster in their crx...

ok so i installed a gsr cluster in my crx. and its kinda loose in there. how did you secure yours down? i cut off the left side tab on the cluster so that it would fit in there. thanks

i know its been done, ive already done it, im just wanting to know how everyone secured it to the car. mine is just sitting there and not very secure at all.

ive read alot of them but no one really explains how they secured it. they all talk about how it looks or the wiring. and i already know both of those, lol.

i have an LS cluster, but i am in the process of securing it. I am redoing the inside section of my CRX housing, so it molds to the integra shape, and i am toying with just using the fiberglass to hold it, or make a custom bracket.

i'm not finished and don't have any pics, but that is in essence what im planning.

it's something, i hope that helps. but from researching before, most people jam/force/wedge it in and i dont like that personally.

cool, i dont mind jamming it in or wedging it in as long as its secure, rignt now its really loose and has a good half inch of play.

i wrapped mine with some egg crate foam, and then jammed it in. no more vibration. its ghetto but it works

dude i pulled that coin holder out of the old parts car i had its sitting on my desk send me an address again ill mail it out

gsr cluster go to walmart automotive section i bought this stuff called magnum steel it looks like a roll of pennys i screwed the screw in the top like it says do then i alined the bottem of the gauge where i wanted it and epoxed it in [IMG][/IMG]

i basically cut the top tab off the cluster.
attached the cluster to the housing with various brackets. u can even use double sided tape maybe. thats all there is to it.

if you can wire it up to work , you can mod it to fit.
