revlimit at 6500 on b18a1?

Default revlimit at 6500 on b18a1?

i have a a1 in my crx and the revlimiter hits at 6500. thats not right is it? i dont think so. ill look later to see what ecu i have, im not sure.

6500? it should be higher...maybe about 6700-6800

ive heard before that it was near 7400. i gues i was wrong i duno. if i chip the ecu what is a safe rpm? cuz i know the a1 isnt stable at high rpm

I Believe it is 6800, as max HP stock is 6000RPM and max torque is at 5000. I don't see why the engineers would have moved it much higher then that with the rod/stroke ratio it has.

its 6700 - 6800 i dont really remember i havent driven my teg for a whole month now...
what kind of ecu do you got?

o, ok, nevermind then ha i was just confused. someone told me it should be like 7400, i didnt think there would be much power up there so o well.

You're probably thinking of the 88-89 PG7 ecu which has a 7400 limit, I believe.

my b18a1 rev limits at 7200 thats what it is at factory, mine was limting at 6500 my coil went bad and that was the first symtom for me, but the limit for a factory b18a is 7200
