lights get really bright @ high rpm
i just changed my alternator. now this is what happens lights are like they used to be at low rpms 1000-4500 but once i get past 4500 my lights get alot brighter like they supposed to and my battery light turns on. when my rpms drop below 4500 the battery light turns off and the lights go dim agian.

Do you have all the grounds connected? Tranny ,Valve cover, Thermostart housing. Theres also a ground on the alternator. Make sure all are tight and secure

replace your alternator before it makes your battery puke battery acid all over the engine bay.
you got a bunk alternator, voltage regulator obviously isnt working.

yea i was missfiring im like WTF is this ****. open hood no covers on batter cells water and acid everywhere all over distro cap and intake. hmmmm. so i checked alt and i exchanged it.
There must be a problem with the regulator that is built in to the alternator.
The regulator is what controls how much energy the alternator produces at any given time.
If you look in the helms manual there are specs on what the resistance should be between the different post on the regulator, if there is any discrepancy then replace the regulator.
There is no need to replace the alternator since it is obvious that it is working, just not regulated properly.
