what all do I need for an engine swap??
I have a 1997 Honda Civic DX that I kind of built up backwards, I did the body, ICE, and interior first, and now I'm stuck with a fast looking really slow car. Im in Iraq and I return in a few months. Ive done a lot to this car, and I really want a nice looking engine bay in it. I want to swap in a B18C in to it, and I really dont have a clue as to all that I need. I want a faster fast looking car.
Search dude! Hope everything is going ok over there...
You'll basically need the engine, trans, ecu, axles, shift linkage. Wireharness may have to me modified to add the VTEC wires, and it also depends of the motor is OBD 1 or 2. Its pretty straight forward.

im not sure what all you will need exactly because i have a 92 civic Dx. but basically you should search for...... what axles you will need, the ecu for that motor, wiring harness you may probly used the one off your old motor, motor mounts(what year integra and so on......) and pending where you get the motor from and miles on it, you may want to put some work into it. I just put a 95 b18b1 into my 92 civic. I put new gaskets rear main seal, new alternater, starter, clutch, took the head off cleaned the tops of the pistons head and intake/exhaust ports. and soo on. so far i have spent about 2500 dollars, being that the tranny and motor only cost 1000. i have spent alot on extras. soo.. make sure you have a good amount of money stored away. good luck
