Default MSD Blaster Coil and Distributer Cap. Coil lead?

I recently purchased an MSD 6A with a Blaster 2 coil and MSD distributor cap. I have everything I need to install this, except for the coil lead to run from the cap to the coil itself. I cannot find an MSD part number for this, and the part Napa told me would be correct will not fit over the female end on the Blaster Coil.

Anyone have any recommendations?

http://www.summitracing.com

give them a call if you can't find it on the site, but you can buy wires made for "spark plug style" posts. I don't know if you'll be able to get just the coil wire, though.

I thought standard wires would work for the posts, since the terminals are the same on both ends.

The post is a female end at the coil, larger than the typical wires I have found out there, and the dizzy end is just a basic spark plug tip type of connection

if you can exchange it, MSD makes coils with the male-style post as well.

I have a Blaster 2 on my Mustang and it accepts standard plug wires. maybe this is a case of user error?

i don't see the problem. the coil post is identical to the distributor posts and the wire should just snap onto the dizzy coil post. otherwise, just get the blaster 3 and be done with it.

Wow! If they are the same, then what the **** am I doing here??

For real, the post on the coils is 1-1/2" times the size of the dizzy post. In other words, its not the same.

I got a part number for the MSD cable on Jegs, so I found what I need.

If you no longer want the balster coil I have an MSD Blaster HVC coil. This has the spark plug terminal that you need. For more details check out this link http://s8.invisionfree.com/MS1....php?. It's under the for sale forum. Registering is free and takes about a minute. Thanks.
