88-91 Civic dash clock-Plug-n-Play??
Heres the question. Can I take a dash clock that goes in the center vent of a 88-91 civic, crx, or 4 door civic and put it into my 91 civic hatchback with out butchering the wiring??

the clock is very simple to wire. just a ground, swiched IGN power, constant power, and a dim signal for night. i am a sedan guy so i dont know about hatches but the DX sedan does have the plug just missing the clock it's self. mabie the hachies are te same
I installed on in my STD. I had gotten it from another EF, though. I've seen them in sedans and CRX's at junkyard, but I don't know if it's the same. Call up the dealership and ask them; they'd be able to tell you.
the hatches are the same.. if you take out the vent, it has the wiring back there. just take out the cover, plug in the clock and ur good to go..
as for civiclized question, i dont kno about the 4dr civic part...

Thanks ya'll- I think your probly right and I'll take out the plastic insert to find the clock wiring harness. I just wanted to double check before going through the trouble.

when you take out the vent, the wiring is already connected to the back of it. the little filler peice is held on by 2 screws, take those out, put the clock in, screw it in, plug it in, then put the vent back..
good to go
good to go
Last question...... Before I go off and crack, or break a perfectly good vent, should I gemtly pry it out of the dash (Im thinking maybe it is held on by clips or snaps) Is there aspecific way to remove it without breaking it??
