Default One simple question for u guys

I'm currently using Mobil One SuperSyn 5w-30 for my 95 civic ex coupe without problems (oil comsumption is ok, may need to top off once between each 3k miles oil changes, no appearance leak).
The question I got is on the bottle of the oil, it said "Newer vehicle formular". Does that means it is not suitable for a yr 95 car? Should I change it to 10w-30? If not, what should I use?
Thanks!

Since you already changed to it, don't change back. I mean it wouldn't be a problem really if you wanted to, but whatever. With synthetic oil, you ARE using the synthetic filter , right? and if so...why do you change ever 3K miles instead of every 7K miles? its SYTHETIC...made to last a bit longer and better on wear and tear. the formula is ment for newer vehicles, but it should be fine for your honda, i donno where you live....but if its somewhere thats cold...get a bit less vascosity when getting a oil. if its down south and always warm that dont worry about it.

I live in San Diego, so viscosity isn't a problem for me. For the oil filter, I'm using purlator or pureone. Are they synthetic filter? I hv never heard about synthetic filter before. I saw something like Mobil One filters cost $11 bucks in Pepboy tho. Are those synthetic filter?
Thanks in advance!

Synthetic filter.....please elaborate, never heard of it. And when I was'nt burning oil I still changed my oil every 2500 miles. Even when using synthetic.

Use OEM Honda filters or I use the Mobil1 filters. Don' think there is such a thing as a synthetic filter.

You can take it to 7k if you change the filter at 3500 and top off the level again.

The oil that is in the filter will spill out but not much more than that.
