1st gen is pr3 obd 0
2nd gen is p30 obd 1

What color is the plug on the distributor?
Look on the head between #3-4 cylinders exhaust side. You'll see 4 sets of numbers labeled 8/9,9/0, etc... The one the left is the year the head was made.

First of all, it depends on your wiring tactics. If you left all the wiring the way it was, and did only minor modifications to it, you should be running the first generation obd0 b16 ecu. Technically, if you have a 2nd generation b16, its an obd1 motor, but who ever wired the car must have wired it to be obd0. Meaning they probably change the obd1 distributor, and replaced it with and obd0 distributor. Thats the only way your PR4 ecu would work, since obd0 and obd1 ecu are not compatible with each other. Obd0 and obd1 ecu's have different ecu harnesses. Your car is obd0, so the only one that would be a direct plug in is the obd0 first generation b16 ecu. Hopefully this helps.

Also check what color are the plugs near the injectors and distribitor? Grey or milky white? Grey is OBD1 and milky white is OBD0.
