Today I went to see what was left of my teg that was stolen on Oct 25
I moved down from MD to Orlando, FL in September. On October 25 some ******* (so much of an understatement) or ******** stole my 97 Acura Integra GSR. I read all the posts on honda-tech about stolen Integras but i never thought mine would be stolen (I lived in a small town in MD and auto theft was rare). I just wish I could find out who did it so I could attempt to make everyday of the rest of their lives a living hell.
Well yesterday I got a call from my insurance agent and he said the car had been found. At this point i dont really think it should be called a car. It's was more like a fourth of a car. So today I went to look at it and it made me sad. Seeing your car all cut up like that. No motor or tranny obviously. They took my suspension, spoiler, wheels, all interior including gauges, all audio equipment. They actually replaced my front suspension with stock or civic suspension. I dont really know. And they put their own wheels on (steelies). They also ripped out all the interior including seats (front and back) but they did install a tan LS seat on the passenger side. They didnt take my exhaust though ( really weird).
So the car is a complete loss and of course they give u **** for the mods you have so ill probably get like 8000 for it, if im lucky. Not really sure how they decide how much it was worth. Hopefully, ill be able to get something and do a little work to it and make it even better than my teg. Tough when you're in school.

I feel you man, same thing happen with my si. It sucks big time. It got me down for hella but keep your head up. The way I saw it was atleast know one was in there like you and your girl cuz maybe they coulda used force. My homeboi got held up at gun point with his R while he was in it. But it still sucks.

the car had an aftermarket alarm when i bought it and i used "the club"...i was saving up to upgrade the anti theft devices...just didnt have enought after the move from MD and paying for school...where i lived in MD cars were very rarely stolen (very small town)...apparently florida is alot different
i understand how you feel. the town i live in now is fairly safe, but when i move out to go to grad school, i know i'll end up in a bigger city where theft is more rampant. relying on my alarm (like i do now) will not cut it. hope they catch the culprits
Sorry to hear the news
Though did you save reciepts from all of the parts you had on the car? Maybe you could collect all of those up and present them to you insurance company. Its proof that there was more to the car then just the car itself.
