H23 - whats the best part for more horsepower?
i have a 92 prelude with an h23. whats the best power added for more horsepower? i have a cold air intake and a new clutch? what else besides headers and and exhaust? cams? pistons?
Well im sure that everyone here will agree that the best cost:power mod that anyone can do is to turbo charge it adn nos coming in a close second but if your talking gaining 5hp there and 10hp here then headers, exhaust, light weight cam gears and pulleys with sum light tuning are the usual suspects
If you want the most power from it for the cheapest price
then it would be nitrous without a doubt.
H23's respond pretty well to nitrous. Just make sure you take the
proper precautions when using it.

I agree the H23 responds quite well and it makes the motor come alive. Unfortunatly ,many people have missconceptions about nitrous due to the movie "the slow and the curious" you must research and learn about nitrous as much as you can before you use it. There are many people on HT that are very knowledgable

IMO I/H/E first then Cams/springs/retainers with a boost in compression. 12:1 is good. I make awesome torque for no power adders.

Not really. Anybody that has accounted for the amount of money they spend on bottle fills will agree that it will catch up to you.
It is cheap to start with but will burn a hole in your wallet after time.
I say Turbo.
