PCV PROBLEM I THINK PLEASE HELP?
OK I take oil cap off and a whole bunch of air is blown through hole dont mean just a little alot, someone told me my pcv valve could be bad I HAVE A 1997 Civic HX coupe. Is there anything else it could be and please let me know of a way to fix.
very well could be. test the pcv by pinching the vacuum hose comming to the pcv, if the idle drops about 50 rpms the valve could be bad, also take the valve off and the valve should rattle inside. make sure to get the right pcv for your car because you might put one in with a diff flow rate, not sure offhand if all the flow rates are the same on hondas.

PCV vavle are recommanded to be changed every 100k and they are really cheap like 5.95 just go get a new one and see if that fixes your problem
