Default ebay coilovers

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

Anyone admit they own a set?
Are these as good as the name brands or is quality sacrificed(are you just buying the name, ex. ground control)?
I would just like to avoid spending alot of money

thanks-

You pay for quality. That's absolute horseshit when it comes to quality.

I'll be honest with you, I'm basing my opinion on less money=****. I know this is not always true but in this case I think $40 for coilovers = ****.

One of the ways they are able to sell these coilovers for a cheap price is reduced costs. This leads me to believe that they use inferior raw materials or a less extensive construction process, compared to higher quality manufacturers. Because of this, these coilovers won't be able to hold up to the rigors of the road as long as high quality ones would.

Sorry, I haven't had any experience with these exact coilovers so you can't take my opinion into accout fully. I could be totally wrong.

Good luck.

You really should stay away from those. My neighbor was trying to emulate my hatchback ( ground controls) because he likes the fact that it was lower and you could adjust the height.. so to make a long story short the threaded collars on his car stripped down and bottomed out his car on the fwy. car was totaled!!
