Big time stuttering / stumbling issue 93 vtec
Ok heres my my major issue.... 93 vtec prelude.... falls on its face from take off to about 3k rpms. After 3k runs perfect. It almost stalls out and at idle you can hear the car slightly popping from the exhaust every few seconds. This is a problem that grew as well. Started out just doing it real quick every once in a while now its all the time. Car has new distributer, plugs/ cap/ rotor/ wires. No CEL, idles fine except for slight popping that can be heard. Anyone have a problem like this that chelp out as this is becoming a major issue. Honda wont even run a scan on the car because of "too many modifications".....and nothing new has been added to car to possibly cause this either....anyone got any ideas? Thanks
mine did the same thing, but all ihad to do was change the spark plugs...check to make sure that your wires are plugged all the way into your distributor cap.
check all of your grounds too.
check all of your grounds too.
Unplug your TPS and see if the car acts any different. It's the black sensor on the firewall side of your throttle body, and they go bad pretty often. If the stuttering stops, then you know that was the culprit. Just my suggestion...
I know the plugs /wires are good...and they are all tightly secured....anyone ever have a burnt intake or exhaust valve here that would possibly know the symptoms.? Im gonna check the tps and egr tomorrow on my day off.
