What upgrades can i do my 4th gen that won't reduce engine life?
for the most part, any mod that is done to your engine will decrease its life. whats the purpose of your mod? to get more power?
why do you want more power? to go faster?
higher rpm = lots of abuse = shorter engine life
thats the explanation my auto shop teacher in highschool told us. little help did it do though

Engine life is determined by a few factors. How it is driven, how it is maintained, and the labor quality.
If you listen to most of the clueless people on here who say, "Day rev dere shyt to 8Krpm on uh daily basis", then yes, you will shorten the life of the motor. However, if you maintain it, have someone who is knowledgeable about building Honda motors, and don't rev it more than 7200 rpms, you will be fine.

. and change the oil w/ full synthetic every 2500-3k.
